Struggling? 3 Tips To Get Un-stuck!

Choose the right foodsAre you struggling with just keeping yourself above water? Get your  Energy and Clarity through Reinvesting in Yourself and your Business?

Sometimes it is time to just, TAKE A BREAK! Really, take a step to the side for a moment and re-evaluate where you are with your Energy & Clarity. The end of this article I will talk further about why you need to take a break to give space for creative time to enhance your business and further progress, but first let’s look at something that we have to face every day, the role that food plays in our life and our productivity. Food is our medicine and is directly linked to how our body feels when we wake up to the time we go to bed plus the way our body performs physically and emotionally. To bring success into your relationships, your waistline, and your business is to make a decision to bring healthy foods into your body daily. If you are ready to kick some booty, get away from the 3PM slump, and accelerate your business, then take a step forward to wholeness goodness.

Food can soar your Energy and bring Clarity to your day… instantly. Let me give you an example of both sides the bad and the good. This morning a client and I were talking about her past eating habits and what she used to eat for lunch: A diet coke and a Snickers. Sound familiar when you are real busy… caffeine to get you going, nuts for protein, and sugar to really get you revved up [for a second]? I have been there believe me. My client and I were laughing at how she used to eat! Why because once you start eating whole foods consistently your body will crave these whole foods. Once you step into the whole foods and say you end up having a “Diet Coke and Snickers” because you are having an off day, you will feel an instant crash of Energy because our bodies were not made for this type of food. My challenge for you is to connect with your 2014 business goals which is driven by a business plan and connect to your personal health journey driven by journaling and find a plan that works for you. Then get out there and go shopping for whole foods.

Also for some life balance, maybe it’s time to take a full day or two off from your business to get your mojo going again. Since it can be hard to click off from the business we can wind ourselves up so much that we become non-productive. So taking a creative rest day from your business can be a really good step forward to creating a new product or a new approach in bringing in new clients. I find that when I take time away I am able to relax my brain and allow it to open up for creativity to start. Also with adding the whole foods by using the 3 tips your energy and clarity will soar. You will know what is best for you in getting right on track for your personal successes. Take my advice and see what happens… Here are your 3 tips to get you un-stuck and moving forward right now.

3 Tips to get un-stuck.

  • Take time out to prepare your food; maybe every 3 days [Pick up my book, “The FITT Solution” for new recipes.]
  • Choose Energy vibrant foods each time you eat. See the recipe below to start your ideas going.
  • We all need our sleep! IF you are not sleeping much [less then 6 to 8 hours], evaluate why. Overly stressed? Pick up a journal and start writing what you are grateful for. Listen to yourself.

Take the the 3 tips to heart and listen to your body. Too much wear and tear on your body physically and emotionally will not allow the body to rejuvenate and be ready for the next big event.

Why does our body’s give out on Us?

Does this scenario sound familiar to you in sharing my story? I used to go, go, go, go, go. I loved it because I could get tons of stuff done, barely any sleep and still going strong. Right? Once I was done with school and once I got into my career as a CPA I found that I couldn’t concentrate and get tasks done timely as to what I expected from myself. My lifestyle was slowing me down and I didn’t realize it because going to school, being a waitress, and personal training was not as mentally demanding relative to my career and running my business. Being lazer sharp and making decisions quick is vital for “moving up on the ladder” or building your business. “Also what happens is our bodies become more sensitive and don’t recover as fast. This is why success is directly linked with your personal health journey

“Burning the candle at both ends” can be exhausting to your body. Your organs work overtime [kidney, liver, adrenal glad, thyroid…], your joints don’t have time to recover [usually knee and/or shoulder], plus the elasticity in our face starts to droop and age quickly from the imbalance of the body. Here is a recipe to get your food journey started now.

Energy Taco

Fresh Vegetables

Recipe:

2 corn tortillas
2 tbsp of olive oil
1/4 of white wine
1 tbsp of Tamari (soy sauce with no wheat, you can use a regular soy sauce too)
1/2 tbsp of sesame oil
1/2 cup of chicken &/ or 1 medium egg
1/4 cup of diced red onions
2 garlic gloves (add more if for your taste)
1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms
1 cup of diced cabbage (a mixture of purple & green)
1/4 cup of sliced Bell Peppers (get as colorful as you can, red/yellow/orange)

Directions

Use a pan or a Wok and heat to medium/high
Add 1/2 of the olive oil to the pan
While the pan is warming whisk your liquids together
Cut chicken up in small bits and throw into the pan cook for no more than 5 minutes. Look over the chicken and make sure that there is still a bit of pink in the chicken with a cooked consistency to not dry out the chicken. Pull chicken/egg aside.
Beat & scramble in pan egg
Add the remaining 1/2 of the olive oil
Throw in the vegetables
First Onions – 1 minute
Second Garlic – 1 minutes
Add remaining vegetables – 3-5 minutes
Throw everything together for 1 minutes
Warm up 2 corn tortillas in a pan or toaster oven if you have one so the tortillas are soft with a bit of crispness to it.
Serve chicken and vegetables on your corn tortillas.

Here is to the FITT you and your business success.

  2. First off I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your
thoughts prior to writing. I have had difficulty
clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there.
I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10
to 15 minutes are wasted simply just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?

    Cheers!

    • Hey Kattie a great way to de-clog your thoughts is make sure that you are starting your day with a planning session. The planning session will allow you to rest all those thoughts that are running around in your head. The planning session will also naturally allow your mind to smoothly transition from one task to the next because it has already been planned out. What usually clogs us is that we have too many to do’s going on in our head and we cannot find the focus. Good luck in your writing.
