Sometimes I just want something that is light but has a lot of protein (26g), Fiber 5g, and low Sugar (3 g). This recipe is a twist to another recipe out there that I really like and use very often Chocolate Power Pudding(http://www.rlpersonaltrainer.com/blog/2011/06/14/Chocolate-Power-Pudding.aspx?alt_id=LM004-FA920-6U7&ts=634460652604790000).
Clean Cocoa Shake
1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
1 tbsp natural almond butter *
1 tbsp unsweetened dark cocoa powder
6 oz unsweetened almond butter (or water)
Stevia, to taste (optional)
Nutrients per serving:
Total Fats: 12g
Saturated Fat: 1.5g
Total Carbohydrates: 12g
Dietary Fiber: 5g
* Because fat can delay digestion and slow down the uptake of protein to recovering muscles, don’t drink this shake right after exercise. Have it about two hours before your workout.
