It is very hard to listen to our body. Sometimes we are hungry and ignore our hunger pains and sometimes we are full and keep on eating. When we consistently overeat, a high proportion of our available energy is alway directed towards digestion.If we eat when we are not hungry, we compromise our digestion of the food.
I have some clients that do not eat breakfast and have a difficult time taking those steps to adding this important meal. Miss out on breakfast you miss an important step in getting your metabolism going. The metabolism is what fuels our energy, mood, brain clarity, etc. Also what happens is by dinner time the body is so ravenous that you may overeat. Then a cycle begins of not nourishing your body properly for it’s daily needs for the demanding schedules that we have.
