There have been a couple of blogs that I have touched on ANTIOXIDANTS but I have not had a blog that briefly explained what this word means and why it is IMPORTANT TO YOU AND YOUR HEALTH.
WHAT ARE ANTIOXIDANTS?
Antioxidants are substances or nutrients in our foods which can prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body.
Health problems such as heart disease, macular degeneration, diabetes, cancer etc are all contributed by oxidative damage.
YOU NEED ANTIOXIDANTS TO CLEAN THE FREE RADICALS OUT OF YOUR BODY?
The cells of your body are under a lot of stress … oxidative stress. Oxidative stress occurs when highly unstable molecules called FREE RADICALS roam freely throughout your body.
